  I Liked This Place
  I really didn't understand all the negative reviews this place received. The place was old but nice and the drinks were not weak at all. If your looking for trouble you will find it just like any gay bar or club. Yes the bathroom smells but if you're planning on staying in there longer then the recommended time it takes to piss of course it's gonna be irritating and like other gay places I've been there is always a bunch of penis watchers and trolls lurking around. So the bottom line is I've been to worse places and I didn't have to worry about people slipping drugs in my drink here like other upscale places.

  Read the reviews in trip advisor and u will see in that bar its normal to be stolen , cellphones wallets, etc My cell was stolen and everybody knows seems like it's normal there

  One of the worst bars ever
  This place is a dump. The bathrooms smell like sulfur and sometimes the trolls will follow you in to get a glimpse of you peeing. Aside from that the drinks are weak (yeah a gay bar with weak call liquors) and when we went there we were told by the bartender that there would be a stripper up, but he just sat round doing nothing and by 2:30 AM we decided that he wasn't gonna get up on the dance floor. I say avoid this place, use some program to find out the other gays (The definitely don't go here since it was local trolls only) and find a nice bar on the strip. So badly disappointed

  Only busy on the weekends and only after 1am. Very dark and stuffy. The guys are so-so, maybe two or three hotties on the weekend. The music isn't bad. The bartenders are about as bored and uninterested in being there as the handful of patrons are. Only bar in town though. Better to spend the day in Playa del Carmen and the night in Cancun. Karamba and 11:11 are the best two around.

  does anyone know if they ID to get in/to drink here? my family has a timeshare and our next visit i plan on checking the bar out. thanks

  Stripped from the headlines
  Fairly small bar with mirrors everywhere. Picks up at 12:30 am. Mix of locals and tourists. Mainly a younger crowd (20-30). Music felt like an after hours bar - too much trance. It's not a bad place to go but its not spectacular.

  Great Place
  I've visit this bar every time I'm in Playa Del Carmen, which is twice a year for the past nine years. I've always had an amazing time. Go late because it doesn't get busy until around 1:00 AM when the local guys start to show up. Most of which are really hot. The guys are really nice and show you a great time. One more thing be ready for a very very hot time if you hook up with one of these guys

  Playa 69 is a gay bar an hour south of Cancun in the town of Playa del Carmen. It is on 5th Avenue between Calle 4 and Calle 6. Just look for the 7-11.
